A new big musical production, 100%
original, will premiere in Madrid in the 2012-2013 season. THE LAST
HORSEMAN,a new musical with libretto by Ray Loriga and music by
John Cameron produced by Andrés Vicente Gómez (LolaFilms) and
directed by Victor Conde.
Victor Conde, director
of PEGADOS and resident director of LES MISERABLES, has explained
to us that THE LAST HORSEMAN "is a fantasy about the story of the
founders of Arabia based on historic characters located in the
Victorian era". "A story about Arab horses, and how the British
travelled all over the world with those horses. It is a kind of
"1001 Nights", very magical. A large part of the show will be
choreography and dance driven, combining genres like the musical
and dance."
The director has said that the
project is in an embryonic phase and that he is currently making
frequent trips back and forth to London in order to work with
composer John Cameron in the creation of the libretto of the score.
The adaptation into Spanish of the lyrics of the songs is by
Alicia Serrat (co-author of PEGADOS and responsible of the
adaptation to Spanish of musicals like CHICAGO and HIGH SCHOOL
MUSICAL).
The creative team behind the LAST
HORSEMAN is half British, half Spanish.
